Well, here is my first " Blog" post.
I am a crafting mom. I do mostly crochet and non-precious jewelry. I do some photography and painting from time to time as well.
Most of my stuff is available on Etsy ( HomeHeartHearth Etsy Shop! )
I sometimes take " Found" items and make them into new, clever and wonderful new things. Not as often as I would like, but it does happen.
Mostly I crochet baby items or children's items ( Hats, sweaters, headbands and scarves).
I was taught how to crochet when I was eight years old by my grandmother. She did this because, as a farmers wife, we had access to the wool from the sheep we kept on the farm. Sure, it would go out and be treated at a factory, but in the end we kept some from each year as well. So, on a rainy day she thought it would be nice to show me how she makes the lovely socks, scarves and dolls she made us each year for Christmas.
So, since I did this as busy work while watching TV in the evenings, I started piling up quite the stock supply! Well, being as I only have so many friends and family with children, I still had quite the supply. Why not sell it and keep myself in crafting materials!?!
